Descriptions
Manage all day-to-day store and warehouse operations.
Ensure timely receipt, inspection, storage, and issue of materials as per approved procedures.
Maintain optimum inventory levels to support uninterrupted plant operations while minimizing carrying costs.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the procurement department for timely replenishment.
Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies with system records.
Implement inventory control techniques such as FIFO/FEFO where applicable.
Ensure proper storage, preservation, and handling of cement industry materials, including critical spare parts and consumables.
Coordinate with maintenance, production, procurement, finance, and logistics departments for efficient material flow.
Analyze inventory trends and prepare monthly MIS reports on stock status, slow-moving items, non-moving inventory, and inventory valuation.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for store management.
Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, quality standards, and audit requirements.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety within the store area.
Lead, supervise, train, and evaluate store personnel to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate inventory records and documentation.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, inventory optimization, and cost reduction.
Skills
Strong knowledge of inventory management principles.
Experience with ERP/SAP systems.
Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
Leadership and team management abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
